  • Copy Certification $70+

If an original or certified copy of a public record (not a vital record such as a birth, marriage or death cert) is requested you can get it certified by a notary public. A notary who certifies or attests a copy of a document is verifying that the document in question is an exact copy of another document. The notary must compare the copy with the original document and determine that the copy is a full, true, and accurate transcription or reproduction of the original. The simplest way to ensure that the copy meets this standard is for the notary to make the copy themselves when possible. The notary, however, should avoid copying public documents that indicate that they should not be copied. Copies of these documents should be obtained ahead of time by the person requesting the certification.

  • Document Handling $25+

It’s not always easy to get your documents from point A to point B (your hands!) before a notarization appointment. I am happy to handle the documents by having the documents sent to me first so I can print (or load electronically) and bring them to our appointment.
I am not a legal professional therefore I cannot provide blank documents or offer anything that can be considered legal advice. But I can bring ones that you have already chosen or that have been drawn up by an attorney and sent to me.
I am also able to help facilitating get these documents copied and if you need assistance getting them from point B to point C or back to point A

  • Witness Services $30+

I can offer 2 types of “witnessing” services.

Document witness: In many cases, finding one or two people that are not related or a healthcare provider to act as a document witness can be challenging. If your document requires a witness(es), the witness(es) need to be present at the time of the signing, have valid picture ID, and should not have a financial or other interest in the agreement. A neutral third party would be the best choice. In order the make this process smoother, I can provide a witness(es) if available.

“Acting” document witness: Sometimes you already have a notary lined up but you need a witness. I can act as a witness for your document signing. A notary in WA state cannot serve as a witness and a notary. So it’s one or the other.
